Let's Go To The Drive-In's

If you're going to one of these:

You gotta have one of these:

A Cardboard-Box Car, of course!

I was in charge of our ward's Primary Activity.
We had a Drive In Movie,
"Book of Mormon Stories", starring the kids.

Raven was Lehi (in the back, with the beard)
in the story about Nephi getting the Brass Plates.

River was Ammon (seen here gathering the arms he sliced off)...

Defending the king's sheep (seen here at their water hole).

Tell me these aren't the cutest sheep around!

The kids,

In their cars,

Watching themselves as movie stars!

At the end, we played "Red light, Green light" till the parents came.

It was really cute and I think the kids had a lot of fun.
Note to self: Next time, I'm in charge of setting up, cleaning up, and entertaining 60 kids for an hour and a half... DON'T stay up the entire night before, making a pettiskirt to add to the little girls overflowing dress-up bucket.

Double-Dog-Ditched

Rhea-Rhea had a MRI last week and guess what?? The tumor is
D-E-A-to the-D. I was able to go with her to meet with the Radiologist. He showed us the 2 sets of MRI scans: before and after the radiation treatments. It was clear that the radiation did it's job and kicked the tumor's butt. We are pumped! Now they will do a MRI every 3 months, to be sure the tumor doesn't get any ideas about growing back. The best way to describe the tumor is kinda like a "spider" that's been killed. It's shriveled up and dead... but still there. This is why they will keep a close eye on it for the rest of her life. What a blessing to have found the tumor so early! The doctor feels very confident that IF it becomes active and grows back, it won't be for a very long time... quite possibly never. It's been a stressful last 6 months and we are so happy for the good news. Thank-you, everyone, for your prayers. I know Rhea-Rhea feels the love.

... Makes Our Family STRONG

For Family Home Evening, we used balloons as "muscles" and talked about the things that help make our family "Strong".
Raven:
"PRAYER makes our family strong."
"READING THE SCRIPTURES makes our family strong."

River:
"LOVE makes our family strong."
"HUGS make our family strong."

Meadow and Heaven:
"OOPS! We 'accidentally' put our balloons in the wrong place!"
(the look on Meadow's face tells me this was no accident)

Beach Practice

When Jason and Kami were here for a visit, they let us visit them at their Beach-y Resort in Scottsdale.
It was like this:
Secret Love: In Love

Heaven Tommy: Miss Sassafras

Meadow: Sand Princess

River and Korbin: Armpit Farting Champions Of The World

Raven and Kora: Fish Whisperers

Daddy: Wrapped Around His Lovely's Finger

It gave us just enough of a taste to tide us over until we go to Mexico next month. Can't wait!

I'm Feeling Hungry.

What should I eat?
What are my options?

Option 1: Homemade Ranch
(served in a bowl, with a straw)

Option 2: Cold Cereal
(served in a... serving bowl, with a serving spoon)

Option 3: Microorganisms
(Microorganisms? Raven? Your latest experiment, I presume.)

Option 4: The ever tasty LYNN-WICH

Ya. I'm going for the Lynnwich, for sure.

A Night At The Museum

A local Children's Musuem offered free admission after 6 PM.
Excitedly, we put the girls in jammies, convinced some friends to meet us there, and we were off... TO JOIN EVERY OTHER FAMILY IN THE VALLEY to stand outside the museum and wait for enough people to leave, so we could enter.

When we finally got in (90 minutes later),
The kids had tons of fun.
Beaner-Biscuit

Tick-Tock-Tiver

Bug-Neck

Thomas!

Lovely Lump of Loveliness

Usually, if something is free... there is a catch. Tonight, the catch was the crowd. I learned the exhausting way, that I'd WAY rather pay the admission and go when it's less crowded. Oh well, ya live and ya learn. Right?

A Girl, Her Bee-Bee and The Fridge

This Little Girl

Loves 2 things: Her Bee-Bee and the Fridge.

And she's figured out how to enjoy both at the same time.

You'll notice that once the Bee-Bee is secured in the mouth, the hands are free to more fully enjoy the contents of the Fridge.

Okay, sometimes three's a crowd. So long, Fridge.

Hello, Bee-Bee.

Buying this little bubble suit is the only time I've felt sad about Secret being our last baby. So I've made it my summer goal to put this on her every time it's clean. Problem solved. Sadness gone.
