To celebrate Tommy Cat.
We started her Birthday Season on Friday night
With a No-Boys-Allowed trip to Sprinkles.
Did you notice who was carrying the bag of cupcakes?
Okay... this is what happens when the 3 year old carries the bag.
Oh well.
You don't need a perfect cupcake to make a perfect wish.
About 30 seconds after we sang Happy Birthday, 2 of the cupcakes were on the ground (frosting side down). About 30 seconds after that, Secret and Meadow had both run through the frosting, slipped and basically had frosting up to their knees.
Oh well.
The girls partied the night away with some of their favorite of all favoritest friends in this AWESOME playhouse at the mall.
On Sunday, Heaven's Birthday Eve, we had a small family dinner...
That felt big to Heaven (she's not a fan of being the center of attention).
Once she warmed up, she really liked her giant purple cupcake.
And really, really liked opening her presents,
Especially this new bike from Rhea-Rhea and Jeremy.
(Meadow immediately burst into tears of envy)
By the end of the party, she was cracking herself up by trying her shoes on Uncle Jeremy. What do you think? Perfect fit.
On Monday, her actual birthday, she woke up and told me,
"No. It is not my birthday anymore. I'm done."
She quickly changed her mind when she saw
3 big bags of gum-gum awaiting her.
(she's been grounded from gum for over a month)
After breakfast,
She took her new baby and her new doggie for a walk,
Around and around the kitchen table.
LOVE you!
Whenever I would ask Heaven what she wanted to do for her birthday, she would always say, "Me, you and Daddy. That's it."
She didn't really care what we did, as long as it was just the three of us. Jared and I decided to take her to Build-A-Bear,
Where she picked out a purple heart
And stuffed it (along with a lot of love)
into her new Kitty (which she promptly named Tom Tom Kitty)
Next she gave Tom Tom Kitty a bath,
And a hug.
We had fun getting Tom Tom Kitty FOXY
and FLUFFY.
Of course, no adoption is official without a birth certificate.
Hmmmmmm. Now what?
I know, let's play!
Okay. Hungry now. How 'bout packets of sugar from the restaurant? Sure. Why not?
After dinner (yes, we ate real food, too) they brought out a brownie with a sparkler in it.
Heaven was confused because it wouldn't blow out. Cute!!!
And then she grabbed it and fried the crap out of her finger and thumb. Not so cute... at all.
(At least I still had the burn cream in my bag from when she burned her hand on the stove last week)
We love you, Heaven Tommy (and you, too, Tom Tom Kitty).
Thanks for a great date!

W.T.
You might be a little dub-tee if:
You run errands barefoot because you forgot your shoes.
(errands... like in and out of stores)
You've become an expert at making homemade
Paper Towel + Duct Tape "Casts" to cover burns...
So your little burn victim can still suck her thumb.
Your cast making skills are equal only to your ability to create
"Mullet Tails" on your 18 month old.
Now alls I need is a trailer and some tin foil for my winders.
